3. SEPTEMBRĪ ARĒNĀ RĪGA NOTIKS VĒRIENĪGS DEJU MŪZIKAS PASĀKUMS – “SAVE THE SUMMER” AR PASAULĒ UN LATVIJĀ POPULĀRU DJu PIEDALĪŠANOS.

Piektdien, 3. septembrī, Arēnā Rīga notiks vērienīgs deju mūzikas pasākums “Save The Summer”. Pasākumā piedalīsies aptuveni 20 elektroniskās deju mūzikas mākslinieki no Lielbritānijas, Nīderlandes, Beļģijas, Itālijas, Latvijas, Lietuvas un citām pasaules valstīm .
Projekts “Save The Summer” būs deju mūzikas šovs, jauna tradīcija, veidota Latvijā, ievērojot augstākos pasaules deju mūzikas šovu standartus.

“SAVE THE SUMMER”

September 3rd sees an epic dance music event scheduled to take place in Arena Riga – “SAVE THE SUMMER”

Friday, September 3rd. Arena Riga. “SAVE THE SUMMER” – a dance music even of epic scale! With more than 20 electronic dance music acts the event will feature artists from Great Britain, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania and elsewhere.

Project “SAVE THE SUMMER” will be a major dance music show – a new tradition home-grown in Latvia keeping in mind the highest standards of world experience. The Baltic dance music lovers have a certain appetite for electronic dance music shows of mighty scale, a content of quality and technological advance – 2007 and 2008 saw a massive attendance of more than 10 000 at the world famous Sensation White and Sensation White. Love in Riga as well as the biggest open-air dance music festival to date – knockOUT; world class artists on a regular basis performing at the biggest clubs is another sign of proof.

Project “SAVE THE SUMMER” is to include all the elements that make a dance music show an unforgettable experience – a line-up of both quality and colourful spectrum of genres, original and impressive technical solutions, sound and lighting of the highest caliber as well as a brand new solution of space and stage alignment that have never been experienced in Riga. For the first time in the history of the venue Arena Riga the audience will also be welcome in the backstage area – the Techno Room. “SAVE THE SUMMER” is planned to feature a total of at least four stages – Main Floor, Techno Room, Lounge Zone and Hit Stage. Dress code for the event – “blow the colours”.

Chairman of the board at Arena Riga Edgars Buncis says: “Arena Riga is a multi-functional venue suitable not only for concerts and sports – it also great for dance events. Our main hall is the highest in Latvia and this allows us to welcome projects of large and most complex scale. Our experience to date shows that Latvia has a high potential and interest for such events.”

One of the performers on the line-up of “SAVE THE SUMMER” – one of the most acclaimed Latvian disc jockeys and music producers Kaspar Kondrat reflects: “A real EDM festival – show in Riga has not taken place since Sensation White and knockOUT. I’m sure this will be the biggest event to end the Summer season and the artists performing will surprise everyone. The line-up features several names that are present on the DJ Mag Top 20 and most of them are yet to grace the Latvian stage, some of them haven’t even been heard anywhere in the Baltics. I will join the team with a special back-2-back set together with Ignas (club exit/Lithuania) on the festival’s Main Floor.”

Technical solutions for the event are being developed by Mārcis Gulbis taking the best out his wide experience in production of events across Latvia. “LED screens, lights, lasers and decorations – there’s great amount of work yet to be done to capture the concept of “save the summer” in real life and real time in Arena Riga on the 3rd of September. My expectation is that this will be the biggest event of original production this Summer,” says Gulbis.

The musical content of the event is managed by Liene Treimane – a player with a long-term experience in dance music event promotion across the Baltics including programme development of the biggest dance club in the Baltics. She admits this: “The Latvian dance music scene is very much in need of an event of quality and diverse content that would enable one to enjoy electronic dance music beyond the space of the club. I can assure everyone that “SAVE THE SUMMER” will provide the sensation of an ideal party for almost every and each of electronic dance music fans and lovers. The line-up covers the best of almost all the diverse genres today’s dance music.”

The line-up will be announced in the next couple of days at the official Twitter account of “SAVE THE SUMMER” and the festival web space: savethesummer.lv
The event is produced by event operator Untitled in conjunction with Propeller Productions.

Tickets to the event will be available at the Biļešu Serviss box-offices across the Baltics starting July 15th. The first (campaign) tickets will cost 8 LVL; with each sold thousand the ticket price will rise by 1 LVL. Also STARLIGHT V.I.P. ZONE tickets will be available – these will allow one to enjoy the event from the 2nd floor balcony (snacks and welcome drink included!).
